I believe that every student deserves access to a high-quality education. As a parent of two Hinds County School District students and a 17- year educator, I know firsthand the challenges that students and teachers face in our education system. That is why I am committed to advocating for increased resources for our teachers, students, and community.

Why I am running for Hinds County School Board

I am running for my son and kids like my son who has special needs. In most cases, those special needs are often overlooked and under resourced in our Hinds County School District.

I am also running for my daughter and children like my daughter who must leave our community in order to participate in robust fine arts programs.

I am running for my fellow teachers who may not feel support in their current roles and feel that their only recourse is to seek employment opportunities elsewhere.

Lastly, I am running for our community and those fellow community members who feel that their voice has gone unheard in our Hinds County School District as it relates to the decision-making process.
Investing in our youth, public service workers, and community is essential. It is my top priority to ensure that each student is served in the best capacity based on their individual needs; understanding that providing support to our school employees is the foundation for student success.
